【摘要】:1.1Thisstandardpracticedescribesmethodsandproceduresforinspection,evaluationandreportingforperiodicinspectionofbuildingfacadesforunsafeconditions.Inthecontextofthisstandard,unsafeconditionsarehazardscausedbyorresultingfromlossoffacadematerial.1.2Thisstandardpracticedoesnotpurporttoaddressthenatureofdeteriorationofvariousbuildingfacadematerialsnortheperformanceoftheirassemblies.ItistheresponsibilityoftheSpecifyingAuthorityrequiringthefacadeinspectiontoretainaQualifiedProfessionalwhocandemonstrateexpertiseintheevaluationofvariousfacadematerialsandtheirassemblies.1.3Investigativetechniquesdiscussedmaybeintrusive,disruptive,ordestructive.ItistheresponsibilityoftheQualifiedProfessionaltoanticipate,andadviseonthenatureofprocedures,andtoplanforimplementingrepairasnecessary.1.4ItistheresponsibilityoftheSpecifyingAuthoritytoestablishtheusageofthisstandardpracticeandtosupplementthisstandardwithadditionalrequirementssuitabletoitslocaljurisdiction.ItisalsotheresponsibilityoftheSpecifyingAuthoritytodeterminecompliancewithlocallicensingregulationsandcustomarypractices.1.5Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Awarenessofsafetyandfamiliaritywithsafeproceduresareparticularlyimportantforabove-groundoperationsonfacadesanddestructiveinvestigativeprocedures,whichtypicallyareassociatedwiththeworkdescribed.
