【摘要】:TheuseofRQIsisasignificantdeparturefromnormalpracticeinindustrialradiologybecauseitisnotastandarddesignandisdependentontheapplication,material,andprocessandthereforecannotbeasimpleplaqueorwire.TheuseofanRQIprovidesdocumentedevidencethatradiologicimageshavethelevelofqualitynecessarytorevealthosenonconformancesforwhichthepartsarebeingexaminedbyensuringadequatespatialresolutionandcontrastsensitivityintheareasofinterest.WhereconventionalIQIsconformingtoPracticeE747orE1025canbeusedeffectively,thosepracticesshouldbefollowed.1.1Thispracticecoverstheradiologicalexaminationofuniquematerialsorprocesses,orboth,forwhichconventionallydesignedimagequalityindicators(IQIs),suchasthosedescribedinPracticesE747andE1025,maybeinadequateincontrollingthequalityandrepeatabilityoftheradiologicalimage.1.2Whereappropriate,representativeimagequalityindicators(RQIs)mayalsorepresentcriterialevelsoftheacceptanceorrejectionofimagesofdiscontinuities.1.3Thispracticeisapplicabletomostradiologicalmethodsofexamination.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
